The First-Ever Warder Wobble: A New Thanksgiving Tradition
Thanksgiving morning looked a little different this year in Finneytown — and we loved every minute of it.
Thanksgiving morning was cold, but that didn’t stop our community from showing up at Warder Nature Preserve for the first-ever Warder Wobble. Close to a hundred people came out, including alumni, current students, parents, neighbors, and Springfield Township Police and Firefighters, all bundled up and ready to walk, run, or simply enjoy the morning together.
There was plenty of hot chocolate, lots of layers, and a steady stream of people making their way around the loop however they wanted: slow, fast, with strollers, kids, pets, or friends they had not seen in a while.
What made the morning meaningful was how simple it was. No race clock, no pressure, just people from across Finneytown showing up, connecting, and supporting something bigger than themselves. Through your donations, the Finneytown Alumni Network continues to support the Legacy Projects and create opportunities for current and future Wildcats.
Thank you to everyone who came out, gave, or helped spread the word.
If you’d like to support more moments like this in our community, consider making a gift today.
Warm wishes and a very Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at the Finneytown Alumni Network!
